Telekomunikation > GSM Gateway

XLink BTTN Cellular Bluetooth Gateway
Connect THREE Cell Phones and a Standard Telephone Source to your Regular Phones.

If you have cell phones and a land line or a VOIP line and have regular telephones throughout your home or office then you need the XLink BTTN.

The XLink BTTN connects up to three cell phones to regular corded or cordless telephones. It also has a standard telephone line input so that you can connect a land line or a VOIP adapter to it as well. All four telephone sources can now be accessed from regular telephones through the XLink.

The XLink BTTN allows you to use your cell phone through your regular home telephones. It has all the same features at the XLink BT and also has an additional telephone line input. This input can be used to connect to a regular telephone service or a VOIP box. Once setup all your telephone sources: cellular, landline or VOIP will all ring through to your regular telephones!

Using Bluetooth® wireless technology, the XLink™ BTTN communicates wirelessly with your cell phones. There are NO extra cables to buy. Whenever your cell phones are placed within range, the XLink™ BTTN will automatically connect to them.

The telephone connector output of the XLink works the same as a telephone line from the phone company. You can connect any standard telephone equipment to it. This includes telephones and answering machines. You can even connect it to office phones systems.

The telephone input connector of the XLink BTTN is that same as any telephone. You can connect any analog telephone source to it. This includes the standard phone line from the phone company or a source such as VOIP adapters.

How to Setup your XLink™

Direct Connect

This is the recommended method for residential users. You will not need anything except a regular corded or cordless phone.

Find a spot in your house/office etc where you get good cell phone reception.
Plug XLink into a wall power outlet.
Plug any regular corded or cordless telephone into the telephone jack on the back of the XLink.
Pair and connect your bluetooth cell phone to XLink.
A multi handset cordless is a good option if you want to have multiple extensions through out the house. You can use a single handset corded or cordless phone if you only want to have the cell phone ring in one location, for example a den or office.

Using House Wiring

Find a spot in your house/office etc where you get good cell phone reception.
Plug XLink into a wall power outlet.
Disconnect your home wiring from your local telephone company. This can be done at the demarcation point where your telephone service enters your house. Consult a professional if you are unsure of how to do this.
Use a regular telephone cord and plug the telephone jack on XLink into a nearby telephone jack.
Pair and connect your bluetooth cell phone to XLink.
All phones plugged into telephone jacks throughout you house will now become cell phone extension sets.

PBX or KSU

Using a regular telephone cord, plug the XLink telephone jack into the CO line card of your PBX or KSU. Treat the XLink as just another regular landline, except, the dial tone, ringing voltage, CLID etc. is coming from the XLink, not the central office.
Plug XLink into a wall power outlet.
Pair and connect your bluetooth cell phone to XLink. This cell phone can be a shared one that remains in the phone room.
You can optionally use an extra pair of wires to position XLink so that it is located in the office of a particular user, instead of the phone room. This will allow users to have access to the cell phone.
Any handset on your PBX or KSU that has that line appearance will now ring when the cell phone rings.

VOIP Gateway

XLINK can provide the signaling required by Gateways for billing system use on most GSM networks.

Connect XLink to the FXO port of an IP gateway or channel bank.
Pair and connect your bluetooth cell phone to XLink. This cell phone remains in the same room with the Gateway.
Calls coming in through the IP gateway are connected through the cell phone to the final destination.
